Staying active is extremely important and can help reduce muscle stiffness and pain, as well as slow PD progression.

HOWEVER, we ask that you practice caution. Talk to your doctor about what program would be best for you, stay hydrated, exercise in a safe location, move at your own pace and preferably with a partner either with a caregiver or video exercise with a friend!

Research and Volunteer Opportunities!

UNC is looking for people with Parkinson’s who have
orthostatic hypotension (blood pressure dropping,
often when you stand up) to participate in research.

a. The purpose of the study is to investigate whether
brain MRI scans can be useful in understanding autonomic
nervous system dysfunction in people with Parkinson’s disease.
