On October 27th PAC celebrated our volunteers with a Volunteer Recognition Reception. There was food, bubbly, and great conversation! The volunteers even received a gift of red/white tulip bulbs, sponsored by our generous donor Supernus. (This tulip has been associated with Parkinson’s awareness since 1980 when a Dutch horticulturalist who had Parkinson’s disease developed a red and white tulip and named it “Dr. James Parkinson.”) The tulips is a symbol of hope and optimism for the Parkinson’s community worldwide.
Thank you all again!

Our mission creates many exciting Parkinson’s volunteer opportunities. Much of the success of our work depends on volunteers. We are always seeking individuals to assist with events, offer new ideas, serve on committees, and introduce the Parkinson Association of the Carolinas (PAC) to more people in the community.

Help out as an Awareness and/or Fundraising Event Volunteer!
Provide the PAC team with support in a variety of ways during the awareness and fundraising events that are held throughout the year. You can assist participants with the check-in and registration process, host the PAC information table, serve food and refreshments, accept and process donations, and much more. This is a great opportunity to make a positive difference while also having the chance to connect with our local Parkinson’s community.
If you would like to be considered for any of the above Parkinson’s volunteer opportunities, please submit any inquiries and/or a copy of your completed Volunteer Interest Form to our Executive Director at aworman@parkinsonassociation.org.
