Living an active lifestyle and exercising regularly is good for our health. People with Parkinson’s are no exception and may even gain more from exercise than someone without Parkinson’s disease (PD). People with PD are encouraged to exercise to the highest extent of their ability, which may include participating in an exercise program. Below you will find a list of programs to find exercises for Parkinson’s disease across the Carolinas. Always consult your doctor before beginning a new exercise regimen.
Please click on the link below to access helpful information about the benefits of daily movement for individuals living with PD.
The Importance of Daily Movement for People with Parkinson’s Disease
Thank you to all of our volunteer support group leaders and exercise instructors who organized these exercises for Parkinson’s disease and keep them going!

We ask that you practice caution when participating in all exercises for Parkinson’s disease particularly exercise programs. Talk to your doctor about what program would be best for you, stay hydrated, exercise in a safe environment, move at your own pace, and preferably with a partner or accredited instructor.
Please contact a PAC team member at (980) 245-2786 for a movement therapy class near you.
If you would like to submit your movement therapy class for public listing or would like to submit changes to a listed class, please contact pac@parkinsonassociation.org.
